Our resident porcine pals, Patricia & Piggy, are real characters. More formally, Pat Butcher, and Piggy Mitchell, are our in-house escapees, regularly storming the lawns to routle for the red squirrels’ hidden nut supplies!

Following on from Will & Harry, who made for the most super Sunday lunches, (and added to the rare-breed Gloucester Old Spot UK registered breed numbers!), Pat & Piggy will be permanent fixtures here in the Hotel kitchen garden.

Kune-kune Pigs are native to New Zealand, and as smaller porkers, re easily handled and tamed, whilst also being able to withstand varied weather conditions comfortably. Feel free to visit and pat Pat and Piggy.

Please do not feed the pigs – they are very friendly and tame, but currently incredibly fat! They are on a very particular diet, and although they can squeal in protest, if not hand-fed ripe apples and warm ale, they’re not hungry, just overly dramatic.
